In this book a single presenter note repeats. The note is from a PDF presentation that helps to explain the Afghanistan Stability / COIN Dynamics diagram. I monotype printed intense day-glo ink colors in order to both mimic the yellow of an actual post-it note (that digital notes reference) and to harken back to the color alert system active at the start of the Afghanistan War, post-9/11. Yellow stood for ‘Elevated,’ Orange for ‘High,’ and Red for ‘Severe’ as far as perceived risks were concerned. Perception of threat and security is key to the types of questions that I hope this work provokes.
